Nestled in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, our church serves the communities of L’Anse, Baraga County, and the surrounding area. We are blessed to worship in a region that reflects God’s creativity and beauty through its forests, lakes, and natural landscapes.
Who We Are
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a worldwide Christian denomination with roughly 22 million members across more than 200 countries. Adventists are Bible-believing Christians who place their faith, hope, and future in Jesus Christ. We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and His soon return to this earth.
The name “Seventh-day Adventist” reflects two important biblical beliefs:
- Seventh-day refers to the Sabbath, observed from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. We believe the Sabbath was established by God at Creation, affirmed in the Ten Commandments, and faithfully kept by Jesus and His disciples. It remains a meaningful time each week for worship, rest, and fellowship with God and one another.
- Adventist refers to the Second Coming (Advent) of Jesus Christ, a promise that gives us hope and purpose.
We believe God cares about every aspect of life—the way we think, live, serve others, care for our health, and build relationships. Our desire is to follow Christ’s example by showing compassion, kindness, and practical love to those around us.
